Once again this year, the Swiss Embassy opened its doors for the traditional Swiss–German Christmas Market, which is organized by the German Embassy School.
The wide variety of stalls is what makes this market so unique: traditional handicrafts from all over India, baked goods and mulled wine from Germany, a diverse stage program, activities for children, a large selection of food and drinks, and, of course, St. Nicholas once again attracted more than 8,000 visitors over the course of two days.
On Saturday, visitors were formally welcomed by Ms. Tisafi and Dr. Ackermann, the Ambassadors of Switzerland and Germany to India. From the school’s perspective, however, the highlight was once again the performances by our students as well as the Flying Teachers.
Everyone – parents, students, and teachers alike – contributed to making this Christmas market, once again, the most beautiful Christmas market in New Delhi. Special thanks go to our administration and staff, who took on the overall organization this year.
