On Monday, August 18, 2025, the Primary School went on a joyful excursion to Nehru Park. Just a few days after India’s Independence Day, the children flew colorful kites to celebrate this special tradition.
At school, two fourth-graders had already explained the meaning of Independence Day and why kite flying in India is a symbol of freedom and happiness. Around August 15, the skies in many places across India are filled with kites, as families celebrate together.
With the help of their teachers and school staff, the children launched their kites into the sky. They worked in pairs: one held the string while the other let the kite go. Soon, bright and colorful kites were dancing high above the park. Afterwards, the children also enjoyed playing on the playground.
It was a wonderful day full of laughter, fun, and colorful skies.
