On November 28, our primary school held its 2nd Movie Day, which was dedicated entirely to the theme of fairy tales. Together, the children watched the film Three Wishes for Cinderella and were able to immerse themselves in an enchanting world full of magic, courage, and friendship. With popcorn prepared in our school kitchen, the auditorium offered a real cinema atmosphere that created great excitement.
The Movie Day was directly connected to our German lessons, in which fairy tales are taught as an important part of literature. The children learned to recognize typical features—such as good and evil characters, magical elements, or the message “Good triumphs”—in the film as well. In this way, what they had learned in class came to life and could be experienced through a new medium. At the same time, the wintery storyline provided a lovely introduction to the Advent season.
The shared movie experience strengthened the sense of community, created joyful memories, and once again showed how learning and enjoyment can go hand in hand. We are already looking forward to the next Movie Days in the new school year.
