Under this year’s theme “A Word Flew Out the Window,” Class 3/4 of the German Embassy School New Delhi participated in the international storytelling competition “AbraPalabra.” With great enthusiasm and creativity, the students wrote their own story titled “The Cold Sun.” The focus was not only on language skills but also on imagination, teamwork, and the joy of creative writing.
The competition, which involves many German schools both in Germany and abroad each year, concluded with an online award ceremony. The program included the presentation of the new AbraPalabra book featuring all 81 submitted stories and illustrations, the award ceremony, and readings of selected stories by children and young people. Although our school did not receive a prize this year, participating in the event was a valuable and motivating experience for the class.
We are especially proud of our students’ dedication and creativity, which showed how lively and inspiring language can be.
