Where else would you find something like this, if not at our school? At this year’s graduationceremony, more ambassadors than graduates were in attendance.
In a highly atmospheric celebration, the speeches by Ambassador Dr. Ackermann and our principal, Martin van Neerven ("Direx"), paid tribute to the achievements of our graduates. But this year, the spotlight was firmly on the students themselves. Our 10th graders delivered moving words as they bid farewell to their classmate Geovani, and representing Grade 11, Francesco De Luca spoke about his friends Ege and Noah, who are now leaving the school with their Abitur.
The musical performances by the school band and the newly formed school choir, under the direction of Vera Demeyere, brought the program to a harmonious close.
For the first time, in memory of our late colleague Sabine Kulow, awards were given for the best graduate and the most promising student. Donor Anil Sharma presented the awards to Ege Sunel and Yohaan Shivhare in recognition of their consistently outstanding achievements.
We would like to thank Laila Tacke for the flawless organization of the celebration, which concluded with a delicious buffet following the official program.
