On 17 October 2023, the ninth grade, led by Ms Tscherpel, Mr Textores and Ms Steckhan, went to Nehru Park to study the trees in the park as part of a joint project. As part of this maths-biology project, the pupils learnt how mathematics can be used to record tree populations.

By using ray theorems, we were able to determine the heights of various trees. This was done with a stick whose length was known and a self-made forester's triangle. Using the tree identification book "Trees of Delhi", trees such as the poplar fig, the Neem or the Gulmohar tree were identified by their leaves.

The children enjoyed the morning in the park in the open air. We rounded off the day with a walk over a suspension bridge and past the Bismarck statue.
