Kite-flying is an interesting and important tradition followed on the occasion of Independence Day in India. Over the years, kites became an expression of freedom. As such, today, people express their freedom by flying kites, which are mostly seen hovering over rooftops and terraces.

The grades one to four of  elementary school went to Nehru Park today to fly kites. Thanks to the support of Dilip and Suraj the first colorful kites could rise in the sky. One had to hold the string and the other the kite. Enthusiastically, the primary school students kept making new attempts to fly a kite on their own.

"It was very nice to play with the kites. It was exciting and a bit tiring. It was great fun."  (Platon, Katharina )
