On Friday, February 14th, we had a special guest in our singing circle at kindergarten: Melvin Haack, a well-known musician from Berlin. He introduced us to Fips, the little dragon, told the children the story of this fiery creature, and then presented the song of the same name.
For the children, it was an exciting experience to meet a real songwriter. Melvin explained how he developed the lyrics from the story and then composed the melody.
To conclude, the children enthusiastically sang him their newly learned unicorn song. The music session ended with joyful singing, dancing, and playing together.
