The Swiss-German Christmas Market, organised by the DSND Parents' Council, is a firm institution in New Delhi. This was once again evident this year when thousands of visitors flocked to the Swiss Embassy.
Visitors were able to admire and purchase traditional Indian and European handicrafts at numerous stalls. Classic German Christmas biscuits, mulled wine and a visit from Father Christmas created the unmistakable festive atmosphere at our Christmas market.
The stage programme offered the best entertainment with singing and dancing. The pupils' choir particularly delighted the guests, but the Bhangra dance by the Flying Teachers of the German School also made the hearts of all visitors beat faster.
We would like to thank Verena Leuschner and her team for the great organisation and the Swiss ambassador Ms Tissafi for her hospitality. We are already looking forward to the Christmas market in 2025!
