On Friday, February 20, 2026, students from Grades 1 to 4 went on a field trip to the Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Lodhi Garden as part of their Ethics and Religious Studies lessons.

Originally, a visit to the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib had also been planned. Unfortunately, the temple was closed at short notice on that day, and this part of the program had to be cancelled. We look forward to rescheduling the visit in the near future.

At the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the children were accompanied by Pastor Wildfang, who provided clear and age-appropriate insights into Christian community life. The students explored the architecture, discovered religious symbols, and asked many thoughtful questions with great interest.

Afterwards, the excursion continued to the green and spacious Lodhi Garden. Surrounded by old trees and historic monuments, the children learned more about the history of Delhi. They were particularly impressed by the monumental tombs, including the Muhammad Shah's Tomb and the Sikandar Lodi Tomb, which tell stories of centuries past.

At the same time, the visit highlighted the importance of such green spaces as places of learning and community in the heart of a large city.

Despite the last-minute change in plans, it was an engaging and enriching day. The classes returned to school at midday with many new experiences and shared memories.
