Our school trip to Uzbekistan promised to be an exciting journey full of adventures and discoveries. Already on the first day, we experienced quite a bit when the receptionist of the hotel slammed the door of Mr. Textores' room hard because it was stuck. Despite the small room, we as a student body enjoyed our time together and ended the day with a delicious sushi dinner shared with the teachers. From then on, it was clear that an unforgettable journey awaited us.

The following day, we set off for Samarkand. During the train ride, the eleventh grade annoyed their math teacher, Mr. Textores, with countless math questions. Upon arrival in Samarkand, we explored the fascinating city on a day tour, visiting mosques, including the famous Registan, and many mausoleums.

Next, we reached Bukhara, where we took a guided tour and then had free time to explore the city on our own.

Our adventure on the fourth day of our school trip began with a train ride to Tashkent. Upon arrival, we had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious sushi dinner. Noah also tried sushi for the first time in Uzbekistan.

The following day, an eventful day tour of Tashkent was on the agenda. We visited the Quran Museum, which allowed us to delve deep into the country's rich religious history. Afterwards, we explored the Independence Square and the impressive earthquake monument. A visit to the German Embassy and the Prince's house rounded off our cultural experiences. At the bazaar, we also discovered the famous Uzbek bread, which tasted delicious. In the evening, we all sang karaoke together, sounding as off-key as the crooked minarets of Uzbekistan.

The last day of our trip brought very cold weather. But that didn't stop us from exploring further. To prepare for the cold, we fashioned a kamikaze head covering out of a T-shirt, put on several socks, and pulled garbage bags over our shoes so our feet wouldn't get wet. Edgar even cut socks and used them as fingerless gloves. We ventured up to the summit on a gondola and enjoyed the breathtaking view despite the cold. A spontaneous snowball fight provided much fun and laughter. It was so cold and icy that we had to put snow chains on the bus's tires. In the night, our school trip came to an end and we flew back to New Delhi.
