On Thursday, 26 September, we had the honour of welcoming the Austrian author Folke Tegetthoff to our school cinema hall. As part of his trip to India, organised by the language institute Study Feeds, Mr Tegetthoff presented three very exciting fairy tales to the children. Pupils from the language institute also took part in the event.
A flying pig, a python and fantastic creatures are some of his heroes. In each fairy tale there is a deeper meaning, such as the depiction of fear as an inhibiting factor in all human activities. Mr Tegetthoff's lively narration drew the children into the fantastic world of fairy tales and captured their attention from the very beginning. At the end, there was no shortage of questions for the author, both about writing his books and about the writing profession in general.
Many thanks to Mr Tegetthoff both for the great initiative and for the books for our school library.
