The annual general meeting of the German Embassy School Association took place in the school's cinema hall for the first time. Our ambassador Dr Ackermann welcomed the members and expressed his appreciation for the work of the school association. After a brief review of the past school year by our principal Martin van Neerven, the chairman of the school association, Erik Illig, presented the financial figures for the past financial year and introduced the business plan for the new year. The news of the evening, however, was the school board's building plans: the former kindergarten building on the old school grounds on Nyaya Marg is to be renovated to provide space for the kindergarten and primary school again in the future. Mrs Leuschner, Mr Djimakong and Mr Kitalic were newly elected to the board. At the end of the evening, there was plenty of opportunity to chat and exchange ideas over food and drinks.
