On 13th September 2022 the Annual General Meeting of the German School Society New Delhi took place in the Blue Hall of the German Embassy. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to our new Ambassador Dr. Ackermann, who gave the opening speech. He underlined the importance of the school in the region of South East Asia and assured full support for the German Embassy School New Delhi by the Embassy especially for the new school building.
Afterwards our new Principal Mr. van Neerven shared his vision about a successful German school abroad with the parents and gave an overview about measures to be undertaken in this regard. He also informed the members amount the school inspection (Bund-Länder-Inspektion) which will take place in October this year.
The coordinators of the departments gave an overview about the most important events and achievements of the last school year and the Cultural Attaché of the German Embassy New Delhi Mr. Johannes Höber informed the school community about the progress with the school’s construction project.
After relieving the board of the school for the school year 2021/22 and the approval of the new budget for the school year 2022/23 four new board members have been elected. Ms. Yasmin Alex, Ms. Hannah Zalis Anzi, Mr. Alexander Reck und Mr. Ulac Demirag are our new board members and will form together with Mr. Illig the board. We congratulate the newly elected board members and wish them success for their new role.
Mr. Illig thanked the departing board members Oliver Mirza, Ivo Seehann, Matthias Radosztics und Jan Cihar for their excellent team work. Additionally he appreciated the work of the teachers during the last school year and highlighted especially the excellent work of Ms. Kulow as last year’s acting principal.
After the Annual General Meeting had been concluded the board invited the audience for dinner. We wish to thank the German Embassy New Delhi for hosting the event in the Blue hall and sponsoring the beverages.
