There was great excitement in the kindergarten today: One day before St. Nicholas Day, St. Nicholas himself came for a visit. The children had prepared several songs with which they welcomed him warmly.
Good St. Nicholas told them about his long journey and patiently answered the children’s curious questions — always with a friendly smile. Of course, he also brought the traditional St. Nicholas treats for each child.
When it was time to say goodbye, the children thanked him and accompanied him a little way out of the kindergarten. With beaming faces, they wished him a safe onward journey.
