The St. Nicholas celebration was approaching, and the children from the kindergarten and primary school had been practicing diligently for many weeks for St. Nicholas’ visit. Finally, the day arrived: on December 7th, the sun was shining, and the embassy garden was beautifully decorated. All around, cheerful children were running about, full of anticipation.

The ambassador, Mr. Ackermann, welcomed all the children and guests. Together, they waited eagerly for St. Nicholas to arrive. The excitement was enormous!

Suddenly, they heard a gentle humming  sound in the distance. The children immediately ran towards the direction of the sound and  indeed – it was St. Nicholas! And he arrived in an auto rickshaw! The children cheered and were overjoyed.

The children performed a wonderful stage program for St. Nicholas and the guests, with songs, a poem, and a dance. St. Nicholas was very pleased and thanked them warmly.

The children had also painted beautiful pictures for the St. Nicholas art competition. The pictures were so impressive that the jury found it very difficult to choose.

Before St. Nicholas had to continue his journey, the children were allowed to take photos with him. Then it was time for the gifts. Each child had also brought a present for the children of the Hope Project.

In the end, Mr. Ackermann invited all parents and children for  refreshments and being together A large, delicious buffet made the celebration perfect. Everyone went home happy and content.
