At the end of the two-week assertiveness training, the primary school children of the DSND presented their newly discovered strengths and ways to protect themselves against attacks in a play with strong songs to the kindergarten children, pupils in grades 5 to 7 and their parents. Our trainer Martina Ketterl not only discovered with the children how our own thoughts influence our feelings and how we can steer them in a positive direction, but also introduced the parents and teachers of the primary school to the concept and gave them strategies for solving problems.
The trainer's self-composed songs help them to retain what they have learned. They are so catchy that the children sing them in the yard during breaks and hum the melodies during work phases.
Now the primary school can now start into a wonderful school year together, strengthened!
