Dear parents, dear students!
Thanks to your enthusiasm and excitement, we had a wonderful sports festival! The event began for the parents and children of the elementary school and the 5th/6th grades at 8 a.m. Parents and children were divided into a total of 10 teams. They were Sharks, Cobras, Cheetahs, Buffaloes, or Elephants, and together they tackled a total of 10 challenges: ball throwing, "parent taxi," water transport, animal race, mattress madness, medicine ball throw, target shooting, paper airplane building, and a ball dance. Overall, it seems that the children enjoyed the mattress madness and, understandably, the parent taxi the most.
After that, all students from grades 1 to 12 had their turn. They formed four teams for the swimming relay with their parents. Everyone had to swim twice so that our coach Marco could assign the teams as evenly as possible. It was a wonderful experience.
The day concluded with a volleyball tournament, featuring four teams from grades 7 to 12, a parent team, and a teacher team. It didn't surprise us that the parents won the tournament, followed by Team XY of the students.
