On Saturday, 3rd December, for the first time after the Corona pandemic, a Study and Career Orientation Day was held in full presence at the German Embassy School New Delhi.
In the largest room of the school, representatives of various institutions presented their personal backgrounds, professions and related career opportunities.
Speakers included Dr. Klein, the head of the regional office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
Afterwards, two representatives of the Federal Police, Mr. Swiatkowiak and Ms. Brewitz, reported on their daily work and showed exciting videos.
After a break, Ms. Gutting, a young pediatrician, drew a picture of her profession and the working and living conditions that go along with it.
Finally, Mr. Willms, a project manager at GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), introduced the students to the diverse activities of this development aid organization.
The students from the 10th to 12th grades not only learned a lot about the different job profiles, but also about the respective personal life paths of the speakers. There was also a lot of exciting and entertaining experience and advice to be heard. The reports from the various professions were so interesting that many questions were asked and answered, so that the time frame was far exceeded.
