In recent months, Mrs. Singh has enriched the English lessons of Class 3/4 by implementing the "International English Speech and Drama Programme" by Helen O'Grady. On Tuesday, December 17th, Mrs. Singh and the students presented to the parents how a typical lesson within this programme is conducted.
A typical lesson always begins with a warm-up exercise. This is followed by some language exercises, followed by movement activities. Once these are completed, an improvisation game is carried out with the whole class. When the students are ready, there is an activity that includes a special challenge. A final group activity then concludes the lesson.
Mrs. Singh and the students gave us a vivid demonstration of such a lesson: they modulated their voices, virtually dug up a garden, found a treasure, and transformed into teddy bears. At the end, the students from Classes 1/2 joined in, and the demonstration concluded with lots of activity and fun.
We are very grateful to Ms Singh for contributing so much to our lessons.
