"Have you already done your homework?" asked Mom. "Yes, of course," said Tina with a full mouth. "Yesterday, for example," said Theo. "Or last week," said Tina. "We've already done homework quite a few times," added Theo.

If you heard such and similar dialogues on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, in our auditorium, then our annual reading competition took place for grades 1 to 5. An exciting event that brought the joy of reading to life within our school community.
In the morning, all students and the selected readers from each class level gathered in the auditorium. With nervous but mostly joyful faces, they presented their favorite texts as well as an unknown excerpt in front of an audience and a jury.
The atmosphere was marked by great enthusiasm for literature. Sincere praise and appreciative looks from those present significantly boosted the confidence of the children reading aloud and emphasized the appreciation for their dedicated efforts.
Through the pre-established evaluation criteria, a winner was ultimately determined in each class level by the jurors. Especially in the first grade, there was a pleasing tie, so two children were jointly crowned as winners.
We would like to sincerely congratulate all participating students for their enormous effort in our reading competition, as well as during the preliminary round and for their excellent performances.
Our special thanks go to all parents, our jury, and everyone else involved in organizing this event.
Reading not only imparts knowledge but can also bring joy and foster community.
We are already looking forward to next year's reading competition with anticipation.
