The DSND elementary school had an incredible "Week of the Book" at the elementary school! From 13 to 17 May, we immersed ourselves in the fascinating world of literature and celebrated the magic of reading.
The book character day was a real highlight! The pupils transformed themselves into their favourite book heroes and heroines, from Harry Potter to Pippi Longstocking, everything was represented. This colourful variety not only put a smile on the children's faces, but also showed the amazing range of literary preferences in our school!
There was also an exciting letter hunt, where the children had to solve tricky puzzles to find letters to decode the secret sentences. This exciting hunt not only promoted reading skills, but also logical thinking and teamwork. As part of this hunt, the readers were allowed to browse through the new books donated by the parents' council.
The students also had the opportunity to present their favourite books and share their enthusiasm with others during book presentations. These book presentations were not only a great inspiration to read, but also a fantastic way to discover new stories and worlds.
The reading in Hindi by our secretary was absolutely wonderful! It was a fantastic finale. The children were thrilled and hung on her every word!
But the absolute highlight of the week was undoubtedly the big reading competition. It was absolutely amazing to see the dedication and enthusiasm with which the children read their texts and captivated their listeners.
The "Week of the Book" was a complete success! It not only strengthened the joy of reading, but also strengthened the community in our school. We would like to thank everyone who took part for their amazing commitment!
