Peer Review

Peer Review

The DSND has invited two critical friends (peers) from 13th to 15th May 2019. They had a look at our school from the outside and evaluated the school’s development.

Our critical friends ("Peers") were Andreas Hilsbos (Deputy Principal and Senior Stage Coordinator at the German School Seoul International) and Paul Richter (Principal of the Klein Flottbeker Weg Primary School in Hamburg).

In particular, they took a closer look at our continuing efforts to develop lessons and school. The DSND asked three questions:

1) How does differentiation in class take place at DSND?

2) We are developing a language concept: How is the process already entering the classroom?

3) How effectively are evaluations used as a tool of the school development process?

In order to answer the questions, the peers read school documents and conducted a survey of pupils, parents and teachers in advance of the visit.
On May 13th and 14th they visited lessons, conducted interviews with students, parents, the school leadership team and the school development group respectively AG feedback and inspected the school during a school tour.
On Wednesday afternoon, there was a first feedback to our questions.
The results will be included in the planning for the next school year.
The Peer report will be available at the end of the school year.
We would like to thank the peers for their valuable and constructive work.
