Vorhang auf für die erste „Bunte Bühne“ an der DSND hieß es am Freitagabend, 25. September. Und die Premiere war ein voller Erfolg: die Gäste der British School New Delhi und die Schüler und Lehrer der DSND haben über zwei Stunden ihr Publikum bestens unterhalten. Dicht gedrängt standen Eltern, Lehrer, Schüler und Freunde in der Cafeteria, die an diesem Abend mit Bühne und Beleuchtung in einen Musik-Club verwandelt worden war.
Unter der Leitung von Svetlana Radashkevich haben 10 Schülerinnen und Schüler sowie zwei Lehrerinnen der British School ganz unterschiedliche musikalische Beiträge präsentiert. Gesungene Gebete in Bengali und Sankskrit waren ebenso zu hören, wie Franz Schuberts „Ständchen“ und ein mitreißendes Soulstück. Johanna Müller schlug im Anschluss ruhigere Töne an, auf dem Klavier spielte sie Yann Thiersens Thema aus dem Film „Amélie“.
Doch die Bunte Bühne wäre nicht die Bunte Bühne, wenn es nur musikalische Beiträge gegeben hätte! Die Schülerinnen der 6. Klasse präsentierten ihr für die Bibliothek gestaltetes Wimmelbild und Tänzerinnen verschiedener Klassenstufen führten einen Tanz auf, den sie unter Leitung von Greta Cambensi einstudiert haben.
Nach der Umbaupause - in der dank der Unterstützung des Elternbeirats alle Gäste mit ausreichend Getränken und Knabbereien versorgt worden sind – wurde es lauter und rockiger. Die Schülerband und die spontan entstandene Schüler-Lehrer-Band heizten ihrem Publikum ordentlich ein, so dass niemand mehr ruhig sitzen blieb: überall wippte, nickte und summte es mit. Das Fazit von Musikern, Gästen und Schulleitung heißt unisono „Wir freuen uns auf die nächste Bunte Bühne im Februar 2016!“
What a premiere! Last Friday night, the 25 of September, the German School of New Delhi (DSND) invited students, parents and friends to the first “Bunte Bühne”, an open-stage evening. For two hours, an ensemble from the British School of New Delhi as well as students and teachers from DSND entertained the audience in the crowded cafeteria, which was turned into a charming music bar for the occasion.
Mrs. Svetlana Radashkevich from the British School, her two colleagues and ten students presented a variety of musical interpretations: prayers sung in Sankskrit and Bengali, the “Ständchen” by Franz Schubert and a moving soul-piece among others. DSND grade 9 student Johanna Müller continued the programme with the theme from the movie “Amélie” played on piano.
But this night, not only music was presented! The students from grade 6 unveiled the picture they had painted for the school’s library and a group of girls from different classes presented a dance they had learned with Greta Cambensi, one of the school’s interns. During the intermission, parents, students and friends took advantage of the snacks and refreshments made available through the support of the parents’ council while they waited for the second part of the evening to start. And it was worth the wait!
The student’s band started with some contemporary rock-songs that captivated the audience. When, finally, the spontaneously created mixed band of students and teachers got on stage, there was no one left in the audience, who wasn’t singing, humming or dancing along.
